My journey into health and wellness began more than 15 years ago. At the time, I was experiencing health challenges and searching for a way to feel better. Someone suggested I try a hot power yoga class, and that single class changed the direction of my life.
As I committed to a regular yoga practice and began eating healthier, whole foods, I quickly noticed dramatic improvements in my energy, strength, mobility, and overall quality of life. What started as a personal journey soon became a passion.
"Lasting health isn't built through quick fixes — it's created through consistency, education, and personalized guidance."
Several years later, I completed extensive power yoga teacher training and began teaching both group classes and private one-on-one sessions. Coaching others deepened my understanding of what actually creates lasting change.
Around the age of 30, I added strength training to my routine and quickly came to appreciate its tremendous physical and mental benefits. Over time, however, I began experiencing recurring joint pain and overuse injuries from training with heavy loads. I wanted to continue building strength without constantly feeling like I was wearing down my body. That search led me to electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) training.
While living in Miami, I was introduced to EMS by a friend who had built a successful EMS personal training business. After experiencing it firsthand, I immediately recognized its potential—training intensely while using significantly lighter external resistance, reducing stress on my joints while still delivering highly effective workouts.
After being professionally trained and mentored in EMS coaching, I began working with clients and quickly saw how transformative this technology could be. Busy professionals could complete an incredibly effective full-body workout in just 20 minutes, while older adults and clients with joint limitations could train comfortably with a highly personalized approach. I also witnessed clients activate muscles they had struggled to engage through traditional exercise.
Those experiences inspired me to relocate to Philadelphia and create Vital Force EMS.
